Laying Up for Yourself Treasures in Heaven

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 19-21).

How do I lay up treasures for myself in heaven?

By sowing good seed, you lay up treasures for yourself in heaven. Galatians 6 gives us the keys for laying up treasures for ourselves in heaven. If you sow bad seed, you will not have treasures in heaven.

What types of treasures are there in heaven?

The book of Revelation mentions a lot of treasures. Revelation mentions things like gold, amethyst, and sapphire. The streets of heaven are even described as being made of gold, but the gold is described as being “transparent as glass” (Revelation 21:21). These may be some of the treasures we receive when we get to heaven.
